Prosciutto di Parma and A&S store ham are coarsely ground into meaty bits, and this savory filling is encased in a crusty ring of pizza-like bread dough. Each prosciutto bread can be sliced into 12 - 14 pieces. Bloom red pepper flakes good olive oil for dipping, or roast a head of garlic for spreading over this mouth-watering appetizer. Equally tasty when dunked in tomato sauce.
How to heat up the Prosciutto Bread:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the oven is at temperature, place the prosciutto bread in the oven on a sheet pan or tin foil. If thawed to room temperature, bake for 15 to 20 minutes. If frozen, do not defrost. Instead, bake for 30 to 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and let the prosciutto bread cool down before serving. If plating for visual effect, serve dressed lightly in extra virgin olive oil, grated pecorino romano, and parsley flakes. Enjoy!
