Deluxe New York Style Pizza Kit

Quality ingredients and proper preparation are key to recreating the taste of Brooklyn’s brick oven pizza at home. Even pizza aficionados will admit that the high baking temperature of a domed, wood burning oven is only half the story -- or should we say, pie (cheesy, we know)!

On a serious note, your success at homemade pizza depends on the ingredients you choose. The distinctive crust of New York pizza owes its flavor to the chemistry of its tap water, which is sourced by aqueduct from the Catskills. Pizzaiolos in the five boroughs select from the best toppings available, including artisan, handmade cheeses and New Jersey vine ripened tomatoes.

  • 4 balls (64 oz.) Battimelli’s A&S New York Style Pizza Dough
  • 2 qt. Battimelli’s Shredded Grande Mozzarella 
  • 2 jars (14 oz.) San Marzano  Pizza Sauce

Directions for preparation:

  • Thaw pizza dough overnight in the refrigerator 
  • Thaw pizza sauce overnight in the refrigerator 
  • Thaw shredded mozzarella overnight in the refrigerator 
  • Roll out pizza dough to preferred thickness (we recommend 16" in diameter)
  • Make sure to use flour under the dough so it does not stick to the table
  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees
  • Place pizza on on a sheet pan that has been covered in a light layer of cornmeal or flour
  • Place toppings and sauce to preference on the pizza
  • Place pizza in the oven for 5-8 minutes then check to see if it cooked to your preference
  • We recommend the pizza to be in the oven for at least 8 minutes
